REPORTS TO:          

Food Service Director

 

JOB GOAL:               

To serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in a healthy, clean environment.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Prepare and serve food in a quick and pleasant manner.
  2. Assume responsibility for seeing that during meal service periods the supply of foods offered is replenished regularly.
  3. Assist in the daily clean-up of the kitchen and service area.
  4. Perform major cleaning of refrigerators and storerooms at regularly scheduled intervals as designated by the head cook.
  5. Assume responsibility for storage and disposal of unused foods.
  6. Operate kitchen equipment in a safe, proper and efficient manner.
  7. Prepare food according to a planned menu and tested, uniform recipes.
  8. Keep complete and accurate accounting of all meals served, and all monies received, and compile daily reports on meal counts and receipts.
  9. Cooperate in assuring that adequate supplies and food stuffs are available for preparation of meals, and for security and safeguarding of all food stuffs and supplies until they may be consumed.
  10. Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Board of Education or the Superintendent of Schools.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Salary and work year to be established by Board of Education.

 

EVALUATION:         

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.
