QUALIFICATIONS: 

  1. Assistant Principal shall be certified as Principal for the grade level for which they are applying.
  2. Candidate should have prior administrative experience.
  3. Must be a resident of Washington County or move into county within one calendar of start date.

REPORTS TO:  Principal

 

JOB GOAL:  To assist the principal in fulfilling their responsibilities of promoting the educational well-being of each student in the school.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assist the principal in the overall administration of the school.
  2. Supervise conduct within the school, and oversee all disciplinary procedures, keeping records of all disciplinary actions.
  3. Administer school rules regarding attendance.
  4. Assist principal in conducting staff evaluations.
  5. Serve as principal in the absence of the regular principal.
  6. Cooperatively with the principal supervises extracurricular activities.
  7. Performs such other duties and assumes such other responsibilities as the principal may from time to time assign.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

 

Salary and work year to be established by the Board of Education.

 

EVALUATION:

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Administrative Personnel, considering the recommendations of the Principal.
