QUALIFICATIONS:
- Assistant Principal shall be certified as Principal for the grade level for which they are applying.
- Candidate should have prior administrative experience.
- Must be a resident of Washington County or move into county within one calendar of start date.
REPORTS TO: Principal
JOB GOAL: To assist the principal in fulfilling their responsibilities of promoting the educational well-being of each student in the school.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the principal in the overall administration of the school.
- Supervise conduct within the school, and oversee all disciplinary procedures, keeping records of all disciplinary actions.
- Administer school rules regarding attendance.
- Assist principal in conducting staff evaluations.
- Serve as principal in the absence of the regular principal.
- Cooperatively with the principal supervises extracurricular activities.
- Performs such other duties and assumes such other responsibilities as the principal may from time to time assign.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary and work year to be established by the Board of Education.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Administrative Personnel, considering the recommendations of the Principal. |
